This is a really stunning and very rare etching of a pair of setters.
Titled "Setters", signed Jackson Samson and stamped to prove its authenticity.
This etching dates from the early 1900's and measures approx. 23cms (9") x 14cms (5.5").
It has been stuck onto a piece of hard card by a framer at some stage.
There is one tiny brown mark above the face of the dark dog as can be seen in the photo. I have not tried to clean this in any way although I think it would be possible.
I have only ever seen one of these Jackson Samson etchings come up for auction and it was sold by Bonhams Auctioneers in 2007 for around 380 pounds sterling or US$530.
