I have really embraced the French lifestyle in south west France, raising our children here and enjoying everything this beautiful area has to offer.
It is a real honour to be able to invite guests here to share this lifestyle with us. For a short while you can relax, unwind, make new friends and new memories in the stunning Charente Maritime countryside.
We will be staying in a beautiful 18th century Manor House surrounded by its own land with a small river and stream running through the gardens. The Manor House is a haven of authentic tranquility. Beautifully renovated to a luxuriously high standard whilst retaining its original charm. This is a place where you can slow down and reconnect with the beauty of nature around us.
There will be wonderful trips, including local markets, riverside villages, beautiful chateau and gardens, picnics under a shady tree and delicious evening meals under the stars in the Manor House gardens. There will be plenty of time for meaningful conversations, sipping a cocktail in the garden, leisurely swims or simply reading a book beside the large saltwater pool.
Parisians leave the city for their vacation homes in the Charente Maritime in Southwestern France each summer and you'll see exactly why they do! Well known for its fabulous Atlantic beaches, pretty inland villages, stunning chateaux, Roman cities, endless vineyards and incredible seafood. It is a little paradise with a wonderful climate and immensely friendly welcoming people.
This is not just another retreat in France with a set itinerary that feels like a package deal. This is special and unique experience, as we share with you our special places the everyday tourist never gets to visit.

· Additional accommodation before or after the experience

· Travel Insurance (we highly recommend you have the necessary travel insurance cover).

We would love you to come and be a part of this lifestyle with us for a short while. We firmly believe that warmth, honesty and informality sit at the core of everything we do. We are not about putting on a front or staging faux settings and painting an embellished portrait of life. We keep things open, human and real.
A unique and bespoke exceptional experience for just two people,
either a couple or two friends. The emphasis being on comfort and wonderfully relaxed down to earth enjoyment. In other words, it's fabulous French country living at its best.

We can accommodate guests for this experience anytime during the year. However these are limited to a very small number each year to keep them special and so there is extremely limited availability.

You'll be staying in our own laid back luxuriously rustic and cosy guest cottage here on our property and we will be showing you all the very best hidden gems of the area.
You choose how you wish to enjoy your time here. But some of the choices are meeting inspirational ex-pats who have made this their home, visiting exquisite chateau, visiting the Ile de Ré, enjoying workshop(s) of your choice, making incredible memories, discovering beautiful gardens, dining in luxury, touring a domaine and learning how cognac is made and a guided brocante tour to name just a few things.
However why we are so excited about this experience is because being just two people, a couple or friends, we want this to be tailor-made exclusively for your own wishes and needs. We will come up with a few different options and you can choose exactly what you want to do. This is your trip and we want you to have a great adventure. There will be a day on the Ile de Ré and there will be a private riverside cruise. All transportation is included and we will accompany you everywhere and share our life with you.
But we also know we all love a little time to ourselves as well.
So don't worry, there will be time to relax, swim in the pool, wander around the village and just soak up the atmosphere.

- Private chauffeured transport to our guest cottage from either Bordeaux, Poitiers, La Rochelle or Angoulême TGV Train Station
- 4 nights luxury rustic accommodation in our own one bedroom guest cottage with heated swimming pool for two people.
- All meals; breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. Free mini bar in the cottage
- Daily excursions and trips, to include brocantes, riverside cruising, private tour of a cognac domaine, chateau gardens, workshops (of your choice)
- Tailor made to your own wishes, we will chat about this together and make this experience exclusive to you and what you most want to discover and do
- All transportation whilst staying with us
- Transportation from your home to either Bordeaux, Poitiers, La Rochelle or Angoulême
- Additional accommodation before or after the experience
- Personal purchases ( we can arrange to ship anything for you, at your expense)
- Travel Insurance (you must confirm you have the necessary travel insurance cover).
PRICE : 1,995 EUROS PER PERSON
A non-refundable 50% deposit is required at the time of booking with a balance due no later than 6 weeks prior to the experience.
