This is the most fabulous antique French dough cutter from the mid 1800's.
This would have been used in a boulangerie for cutting a large amount of dough and was indeed a standard and very necessary piece of equipment used throughout France during the 1800's.
It is hard to find these in great condition these days, especially one where the wheel still turns so freely.
There is no doubt this is a fabulous edition to any French country kitchen decor scheme and will look quite amazing hanging on a wall or on a shelf.
