This is a really lovely large antique white French Ironstone Tureen/Soupier with lid. These soupiers only get better with age, the colour, the signs of wear and tear, they all tell a story and are an intricate part of the history.
This is made by the French factory Badonviller and dates from the early 1900's. It is in fabulous condition for its age. There are no chips or cracks to the tureen. There is one slight chip to the top of the acorn on the lid as I have clearly shown in the photos.
This soupier measures 27cms high (10.5") approx, including the lid.
Excluding the lid the soupier measures 15.5cms (6.1").
Diameter excluding the the handles is 23.5 cms (9.25").
Please look carefully at the photos, as I have always tried to show any chips, cracks and crazing very carefully. These are antique well used items and utterly genuine and therefore they are not perfect as one would expect.
